Terms of Service

By using Rosco you agree to these terms. They are written in plain English. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

1. What Rosco is

Rosco is a web app that uses AI to help you build Roblox games. It connects to your Roblox Studio session through a plugin we provide, and uses third-party AI models (Anthropic Claude and Google Gemini, routed through OpenRouter) to generate Luau scripts and Roblox instances on your behalf.

Rosco is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Roblox Corporation. "Roblox" and "Roblox Studio" are trademarks of Roblox Corporation. Rosco is an independent third-party tool.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Rosco.
• You're responsible for everything that happens under your account. Don't share your login.
• We may suspend or terminate your account if we believe you've broken these terms. We'll usually warn you first unless the violation is severe.
• You can delete your account anytime. See the Privacy Policy for the data we keep after deletion.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Rosco to generate malicious code, malware, scripts that exfiltrate other users' DataStores, or anything designed to harm Roblox players or Roblox infrastructure.
• Generate content that violates Roblox's own Terms of Use or Community Standards.
• Attempt to bypass usage limits, brute-force pairing codes, or otherwise abuse the platform.
• Reverse-engineer or extract our system prompts, proprietary tooling, or internal AI configurations.
• Scrape, automate, or run bots against the service without our written permission.
• Resell access, share your account, or operate Rosco on behalf of third parties as a paid service.
• Use Rosco from a region where AI services or Stripe payments are restricted by law.

Violations may result in immediate termination, refund forfeiture, IP/account bans, and reporting to Roblox or law enforcement if applicable.

4. Subscriptions and billing

• Free tier exists and is rate-limited.
• Paid tiers (Pro, Studio+) are billed monthly through Stripe. Pricing is shown in the app at the time of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them from the Billing settings or by emailing support@roscostudio.dev.
• When you cancel, your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period. We don't pro-rate refunds for partial months.
• If a payment fails, Stripe will retry. If retries fail, your tier drops back to Free and access to paid models pauses.
• We can change pricing with at least 14 days notice via email. Existing subscriptions stay at their current price until renewal.

Refunds: We don't offer routine refunds for AI usage that's already been generated (since we incurred provider costs on your behalf). If something went genuinely wrong, email us and we'll figure it out case-by-case.

5. Your content and IP

• Code Rosco generates for you is yours. You own the output. Use it however you want in your Roblox games.
• Prompts you send us are licensed to us only for operating the service (forwarding to providers, storing your chat history, debugging). We won't train external models on your prompts.
• AI output is generated, not curated. We don't guarantee it's correct, safe, or original. Always review code before shipping it.
• If AI output happens to closely resemble existing copyrighted code, that's outside our control. You're responsible for what you publish.

6. Plugin and Studio access

The Rosco plugin you install in Roblox Studio acts on your behalf. It can read your workspace, write scripts, create instances, and delete things. All mutating actions show a confirmation dialog before executing. If you click Allow, you accept responsibility for the change. We can't undo what you approve.

7. Service availability

Rosco depends on third-party providers (Supabase, Vercel, OpenRouter, Anthropic, Google, Stripe, Resend). If any of them go down, parts of Rosco may stop working. We do our best to maintain uptime but we don't guarantee any specific availability percentage.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Rosco is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that AI outputs will be accurate or fit for any particular purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rosco and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability to you in any 12-month period will not exceed the amount you paid us in that period, capped at $100 USD if you're on the Free tier.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Rosco after the changes means you accept them.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, NY.
